Pulsar 4400 ultrasound trial
City of St. Pete has temporarily installed ultrasound devices (Pulsar 4400) on a 90 day trial basis beginning 3/4/24 for algae control in the lake.
Here is a YouTube link which provides a basic explanation of what the technology does:

Michael Perry, the city Lakes Manager, advised "the ultrasound needs line-of-site to impact any (algae) cells, and so there are two pulsar units just below the waterline attached to the buoys which cover the majority of the lake." He also provided their supplier's link to case studies of this system - https://wateriqtech.com/resources/?_categories=case-studies.
