HIHA Annual Hayride, Carols and Cookie Exchange

This popular annual event sponsored by the Harbor Isle Homeowners Association will be on Sunday December 20th starting at 6:30 pm. 

Since we have so many new families in the neighborhood, a bit of explanation is in order. 

Participants should plan to bring 1 dozen cookies to share (that evening with our cocoa)  and 1 dozen cookies to exchange.  Cookies are placed on a table and you pick out a dozen from the many selections available (mix them up) to take home.  If you bring 2 dozen to exchange, then you can take home 2 dozen, etc.  Plan to bring a container with which to take your swapped cookies home.  Hot cocoa will be provided.  Once a bit of social time has been exchanged (RUMOR HAS IT THAT SANTA WILL MAKE AN APPEARANCE AROUND 6:30 PM), the holiday decorated hay wagon will set off around 7 pm for singing around the neighborhood.  There is limited seating on the wagon itself, so often parents and small children walk alongside the slowly moving hayride.  So strollers and wagons are a good thing to bring should you be in that situation.  Please bring a flashlight if you have one.

WE ARE DISCOURAGING BIKES, SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS(anything that could be propelled in front of the wagon or traffic). ALSO, AS MUCH AS WE LOVE OUR FURRY MEMBERS OF THE THE FAMILY, PLEASE LEAVE THEM AT HOME ON THIS NIGHT.  WE are looking for golf carts available for use that night.  PLEASE CONTACT A. There will not be restroom facilities, so plan accordingly.
